Generation Yes!!!!!

Hello my friends, it's been awhile i've been in the midst of somelife changing things, God has been doing some awesome things in my marriage and finances! We serve a mighty God! Last night I woke up in a puddle of sweat from a very real and intense dream where I was interceeding for our nation, and again as I was driving to work had an urgency in my heart to pray for the nation of America and our young people! I've been hearing different ways to raise children, the celeb does this, this country does that, and then the media feeding our youth an ungodly and repulsive lifestyle. The bible says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) As a nanny and babysitter for many years I've seen many different parenting techniques and styles, but the key to good parenting is seeking God in every decision we make. I'm by no means claiming to be expert as I don't even have my own children lol, but I do know that if show our kids and young people how to seek God for themselves and lead and guide them to not only be sucessful in life but so in love with the Father above that He blesses their every step we will see a shift in the way young people are view. It is not our jobs to cram God down our kids throat but to show them why He is so good and be an example of Jesus in their lives. We might not all have a pulpit or worldwide ministry but God has entrusted us with the youth of this generation. Wether you are a parent, grandparent, teacher, aunt, uncle, or babysitter, you have an opportunity to be an example of the Father. In this world right now we have so much going on influencing the generation who we will be passing the batton to. Homosexually is being squeezed into kids shows, rebellion is being portrayed as a normal attitude, sex is treated as simple as holding hands and is even being done as young as the ages of 12-13!!!! What has happened to our nation? Where in the bible does it say, "if the times change, change with them?" If we allow ourselves to become slackful and allow others to influence this generation what will the next generation look like? For those of you (like me) who don't have children yet, what do you want the influences to be when your children are older? My challenge to you is to start now with the youth around you no matter the age, their hearts and mind comprehend earlier than you think, if a child under the age of 1 can learn to read why not read them a picture bible or teach them a verse through song. We need to stand up and take back this generation for the Lord, train them in the things of God, teach them not only right from wrong but how to disifer for themselves because you won't always be there but the Holy Spirit will be. Let show them how to hear God's voice and how to seek Him! The world's idea of people raised in a Christian home is that they will rebel and go crazy when they leave home. The reason for this is the bible doesn't force a child in the way they should go, but train them. Lay down the principles, set the example, teach respect for the word of God and a love for the things of God and what I feel is most important is teach your children how much God loves them. So many people teach the word, teach the rules and regulations and don't show the whole reason why we do these things. (1 John 4:19 we love Him, because He first loved us!) Find a young person today to love on and share Jesus with and let's say yes to this generation we do care and we will stand for what is right to teach the next generation to live for God and not for man!

Obedience is better than Sacrifice?

I have heard over and over from people, "obedience is better than sacrifice". I've even told people this, it wasn't until I went through the hardest time in my that I was reading through the gospels and saw that over and over Jesus says this quote. i went to the Lord asking Him to open my eyes to want this really means. The best story I know of to explain this is Abrham and Isaac (Genesis 22). God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac (his promise) and without question Abraham knew the Lord enough to know God knew what He was doing. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own knowledge, because God will lead and guide us. (Carissa Version, not in stores yet lol) It's that God really wanted Abraham to murder his kid, God wanted his obedience and not only that He was going to show Abraham the promise of Jesus, (on mount Moriah). God was essentially saying, "Abraham, I am going to bring my son, my only son to die for the sins of all mankind. You will no longer need to sacrifice any longer." While studying and praying about the difference between this two actions (obedience v.s. sacrifice) I realized sacrifice is an outward action that can come even from an unwilling, deceptive heart! Obedience however comes from a humbled and open heart. Man sees what people's actions are and judging the actions, but God looks at the heart, (1Samuel 16:7) 1 Corinithians 13 tells us we can do many great things, give to charities, volunteer, etc but without love it's all dead works and annoying to the Lord! I remember packing up and driving down to Florida to move back in with my parents (the Lord spoke to me to go) as I drove I told God, "Father, I know you have told me to do this and you see what I'm doing this is a huge sacrifice for me, I hope you know that." lol you know what He told me, "your obedience in this is worth more to me than the things you are sacrificing." God cared that I was hurting and cared about what I was doing but He wasn't looking at my actions He was searching my heart to see if I was doing it for the world or doing just because He spoke!

I want you to think back on a time that God spoke to you to do something that you didn't want to do or maybe even didn't do, if you haven't done it repent and do it! If you did obey make sure your heart was right and in the obedience (be willing and obedience) and if not ask the Lord to teach you to think as He thinks and trust Him completely, when we trust Him with our whole heart we will be willing and obedient!

Stay blessed everyone and have an amazing Christmas season remembering that God sent Jesus who was willing and obedient to endure the suffering of the cross for the redemption of mine and your sins!!!! Thank you Father for sending Jesus that all we have to do and recieve the gift of what He did for us!

Your Road to Victory Starts in Gethsemane!

"God's grace is very often found in our wilderness experience or in our dungeons. It's possible for you to find it in your Gethsemane hour and in your suffering. You may gain no release from the dungeon that has imprisoned you, but you can obtain grace that gives you victory while in that dungeon!" (Kathryn Kuhlman: In Search of Blessings)We must all experience our own garden of Gethsemane in our lives where we completely surrender to the will God and say, "not my will God, but yours be done." Let's look at the garden of Gethsemane, 41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (Luke 22:42-44) There are moments in life you look ahead to what God is telling you to do and you know it will require torment and death to your desires and will. It might even cause some to half heartily serve God or completely walk away. 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. (Matthew 16:24-25) This is not talking about a physical death but a death to ourselves, our thoughts, our fears, our will, the world we have created for ourselves. In Luke it says Jesus was in agony trying to lay down His will, it's not that He didn't want to lay down His life for us, but Jesus was man and God and in this very moment we see the man Jesus was, just as we are. That's why He was in agony  because He knew what He had to do,that is, allow His will to become the Father's will and that's what He was praying for. Jesus is our great example, when we come to the place in our lives that our will is screaming what it thinks we should do we must go to Gethsemane until our will becomes His will and in that moment not only will we grab a hold of His will but we able to tell our minds to SHUT UP, and let God speak! We live in a culture that says, "do what you feel is right, follow your heart!" What happens when your heart lies, the bible says the ways of a man seems right to him but in the end brings destruction. (Proverbs 16:25) We have to realize that God is not interested in our comfort but in our obedience, it is not fun to die to your will, it screams and kicks and yells, but once we see the blessings that God has for us after we lay down our lives we wonder why we didn't just joyfully come and lay everything down sooner. If Jesus himself had to say, "Nevertheless Lord not my will but yours be done," how can we think we are above our great example. So remember when faced with a battle of wills go to Gethsemane and let it go, lay it down, grab onto God's hand and walk through life with Him! I promise you until we lay down our control completely in every area God can not fully use us! Stay Blessed!

My Love Song!!!!

How beautiful are you oh God, as I gaze upon your face the things of this world fade away! How magnetic our your words, you speak and it's draws me closer! My heart has found no greater faithfulness, that even as I sleep you are watching over your promises to me. Oh God how is it that you look at me with grace and do not see a sinner but a saint, that you know the very fabric of my making! Lord no one else can see who I am without knowing all my stains and cracks but through your eyes I'm made whole! Holy is your name oh God and lovely are your thoughts. The world may seek to destroy me but you reach out to save! You are the mirror of this life, every lie You know the truth, every doubt You give us faith, every chain that would hold us down You have set us free!!!!! Mere words can never express how deep my love for you Father, to know you and be known by you! The heart can never fully describe who you are and what you do but in my spirit I see the truth! You are life  to the dead, You are hope to the faint, You are beauty in the ashes, You are EVERYTHING!!!!

Power of Worship

This morning I woke up early with my husband and decided, "I need answers, I will fast and pray today!" (in my super dignified, spiritual voice). So after he left I went to my room turned on some Jesus Culture, and looked up the scripture Philippians 4:6-7, which talks about how we are to make our requests to God and what happens when we do this. I have a habit of words I'm not completely secure with my understanding of the meaning I look up in the dictionary. I looked up the word supplication, and it's a humble prayer, then I said to myself why would they say prayer twice and just use another word for it. So naturally I looked up the word prayer, and it says, "a spiritual communion with God." I was floored, wow, communion (intimate communication) with God when I come to pray it's like me saying, "Let me prepare my banquet table, I'll layout the finest china, silverware, and the most expensive of everything to come and talk with you!"After reading this I began to pray and speak to God concerning somethings on my heart and started praying with the verse above and that's just what happened, God's peace came and it's as if I heard Him say, "OK, I'll take of it, now just relax and worship me." See when you begin to worship, you can't see anything around you, those things that worried you, those requests you had for Him, the people around you...... everything gets laid at His feet and you abandon the world around you and enter the throne room of God! Hebrews 4:16 tells us that we can come boldly into the throne room of grace and receive mercy and find grace for our time of need! This is what happens as we worship we receive forgiveness and compassion and find unmerited favor from God! I'm not saying prayer is not important on the contrary, we need both, what I'm saying is sometimes we think, "well, I will fast and pray (as I thought this morning lol) and really God just wants us to cast those burdens on Him and just love on Him! I encourage you all to turn on whatever worship music you have or be silent before the Lord, however you worship and just love on Him and let His love and mercy wash over you! Stay Blessed!!!!!! Remember too if you have any prayer request feel free to email me privately and no it's confidential but I will be praying with you! :)

Are you dating God or married to Him?

I am reminded this morning about a sermon I saw by Jessie Duplantis "Close Encounters of the God Kind", the funny thing to me is that out of allthe powerful things he shared, even him going to heaven, the very thing that hit my heart hard is the story he tells of walking into his study, sitting down and he is about to pray realizes something is not right! So he starts to pray and the Lord is ministering to him and him to the Lord and he stops and says, "Lord, something is wrong and it's not with me, Lord, did someone hurt you today? You're not acting like you normally act." The spirit of the Lord answered him and said, "Jessie, you really know me! My children have disobeyed me!" Now that last phrase is a message in itself, but I want to focus on the fact that he knew the Lord well enough to sense He was hurting. He goes on to say he cancelled all his appointments for that day and just worshipped and praised him until he knew things were better! Wow!I said to the Lord after hearing this, "God, I want to know you like this, not just come pray and sing and all that stuff because I know it what I'm suppose to do. I want to know every part of you as a lover knows their love!"

My question to you how well do you know the Father? Are you just in a dating relationship were you visit Him when you can and are in the "just getting to know" stage, but not really ready for the full commitment? I feel like God is calling us to a deeper level with Him. He designed us for intimacy with Him, you break down this word and it's "in to me see". The dictionary says, it's a close association with or detailed knowledge or deep understanding of whatever it is. What does being saved mean to you, is it just a knowing of going to Heaven, or do you really know what it is to be saved? It's not just about God sending His Son to die and rise and come again! It's more than an action of Him doing this! God in His deep affection and  love for all mankind sent the most precious thing He had, that He knew only through this sacrifice we could be in Him and Him in us! Hebrews 10 talks about how powerful this sacrifice was, that it only needed to happen once and all we have to do is recieve it.

When we understand the extent of what God actually did for us to be with us, your life will change. Those things that you used to love to do or people you used to hang out with will start to my you almost sick.I don't know about you but I don't even desire to sin, and the very thought of something that I could do to break God's heart, breaks my heart, not because I'm perfect but because I don't want to break God's heart I long to be closer and closer to Him everyday. 2 Timothy 2:22 talks about fleeing from the evil desires of our youth, now the youth here is the youth of our Christian walk not our physical age! When we accept Christ we are like a baby (born again) and grow from there! He is saying those things you may have still done in the youth stages of your recreation, flee from, you know better now!

Now this portion here is going to require crowd participation lol, : Close your eyes and turn off your mind, completely shut your mind off, forget about those things going on around you, the worries of your day or week and focus on Jesus right now! Just give him some time to love on you and reveal to you the extent of His mercy and love towards you! Stop dating Him except the ring of the Holy Spirit he has for you and fall head over heels and began to really get to know Him intimately. Who is Jesus, who is God the Father, who is the Holy Spirit? What makes God cry, what makes Him happy, and when you begin to dive deeper into God nothing else will matter!

That last statement I know if you are like me, you shutter at the thought of things not mattering because you want everything perfect all the time lol, but they will never be perfect and once you realize that spending time with the Lord is all that will matter in the end, your heart will be changed!
I pray this post has blessed you and helped you today! May the Lord bless and keep you and make His face shine upon you and give you PEACE!!!!!!
